Darren M. Baldo earned a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Taxation from Villanova University Graduate Tax Program; Bachelor of Laws degree (JD) from Seton Hall University School of Law; and Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Accounting from Kean University.

 
He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C., and is a member of the American Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  For two years, he served as director on the board of Newtek Merchant Solutions, a New York limited liability company owned by Newtek Business Services, Inc., a publicly-traded corporation on the NASDAQ.  Additionally, he teaches a course called "Choices in Legal Formation" at Mercer County Community College's Small Business Certification Program.
 
Prior to forming his own practice, Mr. Baldo was an Associate at Stark & Stark, P.C., a law firm in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.  At Stark & Stark, he provided clients with legal and tax advice on various matters, including acquisitions, debt and equity financings, entity formations for profit and non-profit associations, and various employment contracts, including stock option and phantom stock plans, deferred compensation and non-competition agreements.  He was also engaged in the resolution of pre-arbitration securities matters.
 
Previously, Mr. Baldo was the Vice President of Investments at Regency Group, a small venture investment organization located in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.  At Regency Group, he evaluated, recommended and structured investments ranging from publicly traded equity and debt securities to early-stage companies seeking financing.
 
Prior to joining Regency Group, Mr. Baldo was a Senior Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  At PricewaterhouseCoopers, the country's largest accounting firm, he identified and proposed tax planning strategies for structuring acquisitions.  Additionally, he conducted tax due diligence investigations on over 75 target companies in deals ranging in values up to $400 million.
 
Before working with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Baldo was an Associate with Deloitte & Touche, Parsippany, New Jersey.  At Deloitte & Touche, he was engaged primarily with tax research and the preparation of federal and state income tax returns for several domestic and international publicly traded corporations.
